Couponing for many can be pretty daunting. I think that some look as blogs such as Thrifty Divas and get totally overwhelmed. However, the reasons why you should start doing it seriously outweigh the terror you may feel about it now. 🙂
Think about it, the people shopping ahead of you that saved $50 off their bill, or the woman who walked away paying only tax on her groceries. Doesn’t this sound like a great reason to start couponing?
Let’s look at some more reasons for you to start couponing.
1. You’ll save money.
Let’s cut to the chase, you want to save money right? More money in my wallet is my number one reason for me to coupon.
Couponing is just the gateway drug to much more complicated forms of being a Thrifty Diva. There are many freebies you can score just by signing up with different companies. But then with coupons, you can stack um’ and slap um’ on the counter and watch your bill reduce to nothing if you do it right.
3. It’s FUN!
Couponers get somewhat of a rush from the deals they get. Let’s face it, it’s fun to walk out of a store with $500 worth of groceries that you paid $17.67 for! That is crazy fun! A lot of girls get together and have coupon parties where they organize everything. Say it with me, “Couponing is fun!”
4. You’ll have a stocked pantry.
Most couponers have well stocked pantries. Not going to lie, it’s nice to almost always have what I want in my pantry. It feels like it wasn’t a lot of work to get to this point.
5. Do this get that.
By couponing you will save money. It may not be much as first, but think about what that money could buy otherwise. Maybe save it up and by the end of the year, go on a cruise!
