I love doing laundry.
Seriously this is the worst chore of the house, so I’m always looking for tips to help dry the clothes faster or help with static electricity. I’ve tried quite a few tips and tricks! Here are a few of my favorites.
1. Aluminum foil balls! We get a lot of static electricity because our climate is so dry. However, I hate dryer sheets. My kids have really sensitive skin, so we don’t use them. But to get rid of static all you need to do is ball up (really tight) some aluminum foil and throw it in your dyer. It will help get rid of all that static. You can reuse it for months too!
2. Don’t dry at all. I feel like dryers came about out of convenience, but a lot of people are turning back to clothes lines and drying their clothes outside. It’s summer and it’s a fantastic idea to let mother nature dry your clothes. It makes your clothes smell amazing too!
3. Use the moisture sensor. If your dryer is newer it probably has a moisture sensor on it which senses when the clothes are dry and not drying by time. This can cut down on your drying time and save you on energy.
4. Put a dry towel in your load when drying. It simply helps dry your clothes faster.
