I love little marshmallows. They have some great uses. I use them often to help my kids put their crafting skills to use or just as a snack. Here are a few ways I go about using marshmallows
That's right! These tasty little marshmallows are great for building yummy little igloos. It can be a playtime of building followed by snack time. I can use water to get my marshmallows to stick together. Best of all I don't have to drag my children into the activity. They come willingly.
This can start with counting marshmallows and progress to addition or subtraction and most of the time the kids don't even know what I'm doing. I will steal a few of their marshmallows and when accused ask them how they know. Most kids do know the difference between four marshmallows or two regardless of if they are conscious they are doing math. They are also wonderful for multiplication.
The Traditional Use
Hot chocolate! I love hot chocolate with little marshmallows in it. It's a good way to get the kids warm on good days. It's also a really good way to relax after a long day of work.
