One of the easiest ways to save money and keep healthy is to keep a water bottle handy. Drinking your eight glasses of water a day (more depending on what your level of activity is as well as the weather) can save so much money. Best of all it doesn’t even feel like a money saving venture, and it makes you feel better in the long run.
When you are drinking the right amount of water you seldomly want to drink more. Mainly, this is because your body is already filled with water and you aren’t thirsty. It reduces the amount you would spend at vending machines or on bottled soda, fruit juice or energy drinks. Drinking the right amount of water also helps you feel less hungry throughout the day. You will spend less on snacks or a drive-thru.
Keeps You Hydrated
Medically we need water for our bodies to function properly and clean themselves out. When your body isn’t getting enough water your internal organs need to work harder to clean out your system. You could end up with health problems due to lack of proper hydration such as a UTI. Your body also ends up hanging on to more garbage because there isn’t enough water in your system to flush it out.
There is also heat stroke or heat exhaustion to consider. Drinking water in the right amounts, as opposed to dehydrating fruit juice or soda, makes it less likely for you to have a run in with either of these conditions.
Water is healthier for you in other ways as well. It doesn’t contain acids, dyes, flavoring or an excess of sugar. In fact it’s the one drink that is a natural health benefit to your body. It can help you lose weight, and keep you regular. I’m sure we can all agree that is worth it’s weight in water.
Many people worry about their health. I don’t mean a little bit. Some of us lay in bed worrying at night. We want to be able to catch any life threatening illness quickly. We want to be able to reduce the chances of anything life threatening ever becoming an issue. At the same time running to the doctor for every ache and pain is just not in our price range. What can we do ourselves to ensure we run to the doctor at the right time, instead of with a bunch of false alarms?

Citrus fruit is one of the best foods for reducing medical problems. These fruits contain high amounts of vitamin C, which helps to absorb iron, keep our teeth healthy, and keep our blood pressure low. Citrus fruit also helps maintain connective tissues in your body. Full of antioxidants, citrus fruits fight off stress and helps your body eliminate free radicals.
Home Body Testing
For those of us who can pass as hypochondriacs to the outside world, at home testing can be quite a bit helpful. At almost any pharmacy or super store self testing items can be bought. You can test your vitals regularly, including your temperature, blood pressure, and blood sugar. You can use a body PH testing kit that can tell you if your PH levels are going down (like they would if you had cancer). You can do monthly breast exams. And (if you really want to go for the gold) track color and consistency of your output. You can even test for a UTI at home.
While a little extreme, monitoring your body on this level can give you an idea where your body’s health is without you going to the doctor constantly. It’s also less expensive to have these items and tests than going to the doctor frequently.
Exercise does more than makes us skinny and wear us out, although that is a great benefit. It improves out muscle mass, tone, and strength. It keeps our hearts strong, keeps our blood pumping, helps dissolve potential blood clots, reduces stress, and lifts our moods. It reduces our chance of diabetes, cancer, and all kinds of illnesses.
