I know I am not the only one that is constantly paying late fees to Redbox. We seriously could have just bought one movie cheaper than the late fees. It’s really irresponsible, but life happens and I am a mom of two who also works full time and I’m a Thrifty Diva.
Am I alone?
We’ve basically quit getting Redbox even when they send codes for free movies. I mean, let’s be honest Redbox makes their money from late fees and unreturned dvds. Without those fees, they couldn’t operate. Since we are the people they get money from, we’ve found other ways to rent that don’t cost us so much.
1. Amazon. Oh this is by far my most favorite way to rent movies. Yes, more expensive than Redbox, but older movies are sometimes $1.99 which isn’t much more. New releases are more expensive, but you don’t have to drive to your local Redbox and no late fees. We watch ours right on our TV through our BluRay player which is awesome. You must have device that will play Amazon, but most BluRay players are now.
2. Blockbuster. BluRay players are coming with this sometimes in place of Amazon. Just check the side of your box to see if it’s capable.
3. Netflix. You have to pay monthly for this service and they don’t have a lot of new movies or shows, but it’s nice to have.
4. Hulu. This is another monthly service, but it has up-to-date shows and even some movies. I prefer it over Netflix for sure because of the tv shows.
What are you watching movies and TV on?
