Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love play dough?
Especially when you can make it straight from your kitchen. With these few simple ingredients you can get your kids involved with this fun and easy craft that is not only fun to make but even more fun to play with!
As a kid my mom would make this with us all the time! We tried multiple recipes like salt dough, or edible peanut butter recipes but the one that worked best for the family was definitely this recipe! What makes it so fun is all the bright vibrant colors that you can create! I also love how fruity they smell. By following these quick and easy steps you can make this in no more than five minutes!
Note: Although all of the ingredients are edible I would suggest not letting your children eat this as it is loaded with sodium!
- ¼ C. Salt
- 1 C. Flour
- 1 Tbs. Oil
- 1 Tsp. Cream Of Tartar
- 2 Koolaid packets
- ¾ C. Water
To start it off, add all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until the mixture is wet and well combined. Next put your bowl into the microwave for about 40 seconds. Make sure you stir the edges well and let sit for about 30-60 seconds to set. Using a spatula stir the dough thoroughly and scrape it out of the bowl onto a lightly floured surface. Using the flour knead the dough until it isn’t too sticky and has an elastic consistency. Last but not least enjoy your Kool-Aid creation!
