Letting food go to waste has got to be the worst feeling in the world. It doesn’t just feel like throwing money away, you ARE throwing money away. I try when I can to always repurpose so that we have a whole new dish and so I don’t throw it in the garbage.
A few days ago we had some yummy hamburgers and when I woke up yesterday morning and realized it was Father’s Day and that my husband would appreciate a good breakfast I got to thinking about what I could do with those buns that weren’t going to make it much longer.
A while back I shared with you how to use the buns to make garlic toast. It’s still my favorite way, but this morning I needed something with a breakfast flare! So I made french toast! It was awesome and all my family ate all of it. It felt so good to use those buns for something else. My husband was even impressed.
To do it, just follow any basic french toast recipe and you’ll be set to go! Just follow the directions and prepare for a party in your mouth!
I wonder what other purposes I can come up with for hamburger buns!
