This is a fun way to get my children to eat soup during the cold months of the year. I use:
1 can tomato soup
1/4 package of Hormel Peperoni
Cooks choice of shredded cheese (I like to use colby jack)
I take one can on tomato soup and cook it as specified on the back of the can. While it is simmering I cut my slices of peperoni into fourths or into strips. I ad the peperoni to the soup and let it boil. After I remove the soup from the stove, I add the shredded cheese to the top of the soup. I let the soup sit for about five minutes to cool off. That’s all I have to to do to have yummy pizza soup.
Other pizza toppings can also be added to the soup. I am thinking of adding some pineapple next time I make it. I’ve also considered adding olives and peppers to make a supreme pizza soup.
