I love origami, and during the holiday seasons this skill helps me to decorate our home without breaking the bank. Most directions can be found online, and sometimes in library books.
Origami is great for tree decorations, wall decorations and window decorations. They are as inexpensive as wrapping paper and finding a set of directions. They can be simple, but very beautiful.
Origami boxes can be used as tree decorations, but they are also good for giving small gifts and saving money on boxes. Origami is great for charms, jewelry and small figurines. They travel well and take up little space in a purse or a book bag
Learning how to make a leaf can be a great asset all by itself for Christmas origami. I like to make them in red green and white. I use glue dots or scotch tape to attach them to fake flower stems (after removing the flowers) I’m left with a poinsettia that the cats can chew on and my toddler could put n his mouth without having to call poison control.
