Sadly my children are not big vegetable eaters. About the only thing my almost three-year-old will eat is cucumbers, I guess it could be worse right? That’s why I was so excited when a nutritionist gave us some yummy smoothie recipes. I was even more excited when both of my little ones gobbled them down. One of the main ingredients was spinach. This momma rules!
Not only are these smoothies awesome and tasty, but these do-it-yourself smoothies are way less expensive than the ones you get in your local smoothie store. Here are some concoctions that we have tried. The possibilities are endless!
My Basic Green Smoothie-(These servings made two sippy cups full for me.)
1 1/2 cups milk or water, but personally I don’t think the water version tastes very good
Hand full of baby spinach
Place in blender until smooth and enjoy!
Other variations, replace the apple and banana with blueberries and strawberries. You can also try kale in place of the spinach.
