I love Halloween – the spooky movies, candy, pumpkin-carving and costumes! But despite all of the fun that the holiday brings, it can also be very dangerous for the kiddos if they’re going trick-or-treating. Bad candy, stranger danger, and the potential that they may not be seen by cars! Here are a few tips for keeping your little vampires and princesses safe while they’re out this Halloween…
Even older kids should have someone responsible heading with them from door to door, especially if they’re trick-or-treating in a neighborhood that is spaced out, or one that you don’t know all the neighbors in. Busy neighborhoods with lots of other kids trick-or-treating can make for a safer environment, but you can never be too safe!
These babies help SO much! Have each kid layer a few bracelets on each wrist, and connect a few to make a necklace. That way they are lots more visible to passing cars. Head on over to Amazon where you can grab this 100-pack of Light-up Glowstick Bracelets for a great price. These would also be a fun non-candy option to pass out to trick-or-treaters!
You don’t have to wait for it to get dark before heading out on your candy hunt. Lots of kiddos start knocking on doors as early as 5 or 6 o’ clock!
