I Made Butter!

I am so proud. I made my most favorite food ever, butter. 🙂

Let me preface by saying this is not exactly Thrifty to just do over buying it in 1Z0-481 exams the store. However, if you have extra heavy cream laying around, this is perfect to do and it’s so easy! Heavy whipping cream is one of those thing that I usually have around because my recipes will call for tablespoons and they just don’t sell that little of it. But it’s ok because I just make yummy butter out of the extra!

What You Need
Heavy whipping cream
Blender, mixer or food processor

 What To Do
1. Pour heavy whipping cream into your mixer and add about a teaspoon of salt. The amount of salt really depends on how much cream you have. Use your best judgement.
2.  Turn on mixer at medium to high. Let it do it’s thing. First you’ll see whipped cream and then eventually you’ll see it ball up and the buttermilk separate from the balls.  Once you see it all separated, your ready to form your butter.
3. Pick up the butter in your hands leaving the buttermilk behind. You can also use that for anything that calls for buttermilk. We don’t want it in the butter though. So take your butter, smash it together and run it through COLD water squeezing the buttermilk out. Get out as much buttermilk as you can.
4. Form into whatever form you’d like.
5. Enjoy on bread! Yummy!

That’s super easy huh? This would be a great experiment for kids too to teach 1Z0-485 exams them how butter is made.

    I think this is great. I have my own cow that I milk and do it the old fashion way. Now I can tell some of my friends about this so I can have extra for me to freeze. Thanks
