I don’t like to spend money on things that I will just be throwing or flushing away. While I agree these items can be convenient they can also be quite costly. While I like convenience as much as the next person, I don’t like throwing my money away. So I have learned to do away with some of these disposable products and use something either reusable or much less expensive.
I know it sounds simple, but often women will buy wipes for their face. They do this so that they can wash their face on the go, or (in some cases) wash their face after washing their face. Others argue that the wipes have moisturizers that help nourish their skin. In reality, washing our faces with a reusable washcloth followed by moisturizer would be fine.

Don’t waste money on expensive exfoliants. White sugar used in the shower will work just fine. It can scrub off dead skin and then dissolves and runs down the drain. It can even leave your skin with a healthy shine. It’s important to fully rinse the sugar residue off, but works great on skin.
I can’t believe how much I spend on monthly hygiene products. They are uncomfortable, can cause chaffing, and lately come with almost as many deodorizers and absorbents as a disposable diaper. There are, however, other items that could be reused and would only have a one time cost. There is the Diva Cup that can be used in place of feminine products. They are reusable but require a special wash and can fit badly. A less invasive and costly alternative would be Mama Cloth. They are cloth pads that can be washed and reused monthly.

Cloth diapers are reusable and aren’t as scary as some of us may think. Cloth diapers have saved my family $80 this month alone. They also seem better for my little guy’s backside. I like the diapers with inserts. It’s well worth a try.
