Homemade Household Cleansers That Work

I’ve got company coming to stay for a few days. So, I have spent the day today, when I wasn’t feeding or entertaining the little ones, cleaning. Lots of cleaning! Before getting started, I made all my cleansers. So, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite recipes.
Glass Cleaner
1 cup rubbing alcohol
1 cup water
1 Tablespoon distilled vinegar
Bathroom Cleaner
2 cups water
2 teaspoons tea tree oil
(Be sure to shake well before using.)
For Hard Water Stains
1/2 cup baking soda
15 drops of tea tree oil
a few drops of dish soap
(This one will be more of a paste/scrub to use on hard water stains.)
Wood Polish
1 lemon
1 Tablespoon water
1 Tablespoon olive oil
(Make sure you shake this one up well also before using. Then, just pour some on a cloth and wipe down your furniture or wood floors!)
These work great, smell great (especially if you like the smell of tea tree) and don’t contain the toxic ingredients found in most conventional cleansers. So, you can save money and feel great about using them in your home.
Are there other household items you use for cleaning your home?
spread the word!
