Computers are expensive, but wonderful for making money, socializing, and seeking entertainment. The more you use them however, they seem to work less and less effectively. Here are some computer maintenance tips to keep your computer clean and fast.
Like that nasty orange brown residue that grease can leave on your dishes, you can get residue in your computer. When deleting a file from your computer a fragment of that file can be left behind on your hard drive. These fragments take up space and can be in the way when you try to put something else where it is being stored. The best way to deal with these data fragments is to defrag your computer. I like to use mydefrag.com to keep my computer in good working order.
Check for and remove cookies, malware, and viruses. My favorite computer care tools are Avast, Malwarebytes, and CCleaner. The are free and work well when the are used together. Whatever computer care tools you choose to use, make sure you get their download from their official site. Many people put downloads on the internet with ad on software. You can end up getting malware on your computer while trying to download something to remove it. This is not something you need to worry about when you visit the official site and download their tools from there.
Remove Unused Files
Much like an overfilled garage a computer with a bunch of unused software stored on it will be sluggish and take longer to do what you want. For this reason it’s important to do a little computer spring cleaning. Remove old games or software that you don’t play or use anymore. This will free up space in your virtual garage and make it faster to find what you are looking for.
