For the Frugal Gamer

I love online games. My wallet however does not. I don’t have the money to invest in such games, but with a few tricks I can still enjoy the games I love.

Social Games

I like to play social games, but sometimes it feels like I am the only one in my group that likes my particular game. I don’t want to continue to annoy my friends with requests to a game they don’t want to play. Nor do I want to spend a whole bunch of money just to build an online farm or town. Instead of doing either, I play on the company site. Many people sign up and get together to play the same game. I end up with plenty of neighbors and don’t have to pay just to get simple tasks done in the game. Some sites even allow me to get free materials for my game through emails or watching video advertisements.

MMOs

There are many MMOs that are free, but some are more free that others. If a game has a special currency, I choose games that allow me to earn this currency while playing my game. Other games allow you to play the game, but have a game store if I want the  extras like cosmetic gear or a special pet. These types of games allow me to play for free, or at the very least choose how much I want to invest in a game.
