I get this strange satisfaction out of making them homemade. Everything from laundry soap to wheat bread. Maybe it’s the psychological thrill of making it myself, but I get REALLY excited. I don’t have to tell you again how much money it saves you to do it yourself, but it saves a lot. So far you’ve seen Thrifty Divas make homemade laundry soap, homemade bread, baby food, and what now? How about cleaning products?
The number one cleaner in my house is Clorox Cleanup.
I feel like it can get anything clean. Unfortunately I have a lot of ruined clothes to prove it has bleach in it, but it’s so good! Clorox Cleanup isn’t super expensive, but it’s not cheap. And when you know how to make it on your own, anything less than $.05 is too much to pay.
Here’s the recipe.
1 empty spray bottle or reuse a Clorox Cleanup bottle
1/4 cup bleach
1 teaspoon laundry detergent
Fill the rest of the bottle with water and shake.
And how about this….don’t buy jet dry! That stuff runs about $4 a bottle and vinegar works just as well.
Just add white vinegar to your rinse agent place in your dishwasher. Then, watch the amazement! It works just as well if not better than Jet Dry.
