All Natural, Thrifty Hair Conditioner

Posted on May 15th, 2013 by Discount Debbie

If you are like me, then you are always looking for ways to both cut costs and cut the amount of toxins, preservatives and chemicals around the house. Sometimes, that combination is a difficult one. It’s wonderful to discover all natural substitutes that are also inexpensive. Recently, we had a post about all natural and very inexpensive shampoo. Well, there’s also a wonderfully all natural, easy and cheap alternative to your store-bought hair conditioner!

Although the shampoo alternative utilized a household item most people have in their kitchens (baking soda), the conditioning alternative is not necessarily something that everyone has around. The key ingredient: apple cider vinegar.

If you don’t have it around, I have two things to say to you.

1. It’s easy to get. Check out deals here and here.

2. You should have it around anyway. Here is one reason and another to keep it around.

Now, back to your homemade, all natural, inexpensive hair conditioner. Prepare for EASY!

1 cup of hot tap water

1 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

Simple mix the apple cider vinegar with the hot water and shake. Then, work it into your hair, one section of your hair at a time. Be sure not to dump it all into your hair because that could burn your eyes a little!

The end result is great shine for pennies on the dollar. And, did I mention that it takes about two minutes to prepare it?

What a great way to take good care of your hair at a price you just can’t refuse!
