I love to have scented candles around our home. My favorite are the jar candles because I get a great tool along with my candle…the jar. Former candle jars are useful all around our home
In the bathroom
Once emptied of the candle and cleaned out the jar is a great place to store things like nail clippers or tweezers. They are great for storing bandages, cotton balls, and cotton swabs. Jars are a nice place to store things such as flossing items.
In the kitchen
Whether the grease is being saved for soap making or I just don’t want to pour it down the drain, a candle jar is a great place to put it. The lids are air tight so the scent of the grease doesn’t invade the entire home. I can also use the jar to store dry goods like baking powder or baking soda. Without the lid candle jars can be used as small vases for flowers.
In the garage
Candle jars are a great place to store loose bolts, nuts, and nails. They are a better place to store small batteries that would otherwise roll around in the junk drawer. Small tools, like allen wrenches, can also be stored in these handy jars.
What do you use former candle jars for?
